I was only exposed to Otomo’s cyberpunk masterpiece Akira in 2016 soon after I watched Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex, After watching the anime, I was more addicted to Otomo’s story panel drafts and hand drawing in his manga works than the anime itself. The anime was a masterpiece, however, its artworks were not as breathtaking as his manga and illustrations. This painting is a bike chase scene from the manga. I wanted to create a landscape piece that stages all the characters together in a dynamic ensemble of moving parts and chaotic movements.
