Taken near the iconic railway crossing from Your Lie in April, this photograph stands in contrast to the sense of melancholy and bittersweet often associated with the scenes in the anime featuring this background. While the scene in the anime is bathed in soft sunset light, here the bright afternoon sun brings out a more everyday feeling. My goal was to capture that sense of normalcy, reflecting the everyday lives of the characters in a way that feels both familiar and grounded.
